Data Deletion Instructions

WhatPro ("we", "us") processes WhatsApp messaging data on behalf of Shopify merchants. This page explains how merchants and their customers can request deletion of personal data we hold.

1. For merchants (Shopify store owners)
To delete all data associated with your store:
- Uninstall the WhatPro app from your Shopify admin (Settings → Apps and sales channels → WhatPro → Uninstall).
- On uninstall, your data is retained for 60 days (so you can reinstall without losing your settings), then permanently and automatically deleted from our systems.
- To request immediate deletion before the 60-day period ends, email info@whatpro.app from the email address associated with your Shopify store. We will permanently delete your data within 30 days of the request.

2. For customers (people who received WhatsApp messages from a store using WhatPro)
If a store contacted you via WhatPro and you want your personal data (phone number, message history metadata) deleted:
- Reply STOP to any WhatsApp message to immediately opt out of further messages.
- To request full deletion of your data, email info@whatpro.app with the phone number in question, or contact the store you purchased from directly (they are the controller of your data).
- We will process verified deletion requests within 30 days.

3. What gets deleted
Upon a deletion request, we permanently remove: phone numbers, customer names, order metadata stored for messaging, message delivery logs, and newsletter subscription records associated with the request.

4. What we cannot delete
The content of your WhatsApp conversations is stored by Meta (WhatsApp), not by WhatPro. To delete data held by Meta, refer to Meta's own data policies.
